Marie Nowell Ruggiero

In 2007 I graduated with a BFA in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from East Carolina University. Since then, I have continued my education while studying sustainability at FIT and Parsons the New School for Design.

I’ve partnered with national media brands, non-profits, and boutique companies as a designer, creative director, and project lead. The ability to create strong relationships with clients and team members has been a consistent thread throughout my career, and I place high value on mentoring and developing junior designers for growth. As creative director of N2 publishing, I oversee all aspects of visual design for more than 150 national publications that we produce on a monthly basis. I came on as part of a 5-person design team and was integral in building that department to over 100 designers while also working remotely.

My passion lies in exploring sustainability from a design, branding, and fashion perspective. From considering the materials and textiles used in products, to how design can inspire responsible consumer behavior, I am interested in helping brands engage in more sustainable practices.
